Bio

Building a dual-fold music career as a studio recording and mixing engineer, with his bands or as an independent artist, recording several albums as a guest musician from 1995 until 2004. Michael played in pubs, festivals, and stadiums, with several musicians and bands playing all styles of music and rhythms. This made it a great experience for safety and later going on to your career as a solo artist with the ukulele.
Influenced by Classic Rock, Pop, Latin, and Brazilian music, he puts his stamp on his way of playing music, matching the elegance of Brazilian Music and the daring improvisation of Bossa Nova into a beautiful musical form that can and will be appreciated by both Brazilians and Non-Brazilian music fans alike.
In July of 2011, Michael released his first album virtually, “Uke Can Play Uke”, with a style of playing the ukulele a little different, without departing from its essence, but with a little vision of Brazil. The approach and choice of songs that he plays on the ukulele show the different musical influences that he has, so the songs are played with very different rhythms such as the ballad, the ijexá, bossa nova, Indian songs, and of course, Hawaiian music.
In 2026, Michael Mariano released an album he had long wanted to put out but was only able to realize now. He combined the ukulele with electronic music. On this album, *Sun and Rain*, he sought to explore the ukulele—using delay and highly minimalist effects—by presenting gentle melodies and atmospheric chords alongside modern electronic beats, percussive rhythms, hypnotic synthesizers, deep textures, and a meditative atmosphere.

We are working on Michael Mariano's new album, which should be released soon.
